London. The first ones fit in with those in "The Case and Conduct of Mr. Lowe". The last three letters pertain to Mrs. Lowe's application for a widow's pension.

A List of all Commissaries and Assisstant Commissaries, dated 26 February 1810, John LOWE had been appointed an Assistant Commissary on 25 September 1806 with a daily salary of 15 shillings paid by the War Office and 10 shillings paid by the Treasury, reflecting the different responsibilities of the position.

Sir,
By the Princess Amelia Packet I had yesterday the Honor to receive
Your Letter No. 29 dated on 4th February, acquainting me that the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury had directed that Adjutant Commissary General Lowe should be dismissed the Commissariat Service, and desiring me to notify the same to him.
I beg to state that Mr. Lowe quitted this Island, as I am informed
having had no communication with him, about the latter end of the month of January, with intention to proceed to England, having previously obtained from the Commissary General of Stores and Deputy Paymaster General, Certificates of his not having received any Pay from them subsequent to the 24th June last.
Through me he has received neither Pay or Allowances of any
description.

Commis. of Accounts in the West India Establishment received with your letter of the 23rd Inst. having been examined, I hereby authorize you draw a Bill on me at Ten days Sight for the amount thereof - vizt. Three Hundred and five Pounds Three Shillings and Ninepence, according to the enclosed form, which will be accepted upon the amount of the Property Tax thereon being paid into this Office.

Mr. John Low having applied to me for the amount of Pay due to him
as Asst. Comms. of Accounts in the West India Establishment, from 25th June to the 8th March last inclusive; I am to acquaint you that I have issued his War Office Pay at the rate of Fourteen Shillings and Threepence, and Treasury Pay at Ten Shillings, per day for the said period, amounting to Three Hundred and Five Pounds Three Shillings and ninepence.
